The annual Politecnico Alumni convention was held at Teatro del Verme, Milan on 21 October 2017.
This year’s debate was about: “Metropolitan living, future starting in the cities: people, technologies, ideas from Italy”.
Prof. Enrico Zio, Alumni President, introduced the debate telling how Politecnico cares about Its students through Carreer Service initiatives and post-graduate training courses.
During the ceremony, Elena Bottinelli, AD San Raffaele, declared :”The future is wide-open. We shouldn’t fear technology, we need to explore It since It helps us making the wisest choices”.
The AlumniPolimi Award is annually held by Politecnico di Milano with the aim to award graduate students distinguishing themselves for creating any kind of innovation. Now in Its 6th edition, from 2011 to 2016, the AlumniPolimi Awards have always been celebrated during the AlumniPolimi Convention.
This year the winner was Gianpiero Tessitore, Owner of Vegea, a company operating in the field of agroindustry biomass recovery and valorisation. The technology developed by the company is a success story and the symbol of Politecnico graduate students bringing credits to the Italian industrial and social contexts and representing worldwide Politecnico University.
“This prestigious award is to me a great spur to further invest in research and innovation for the development of Vegeatextile® project”, said Gianpiero Tessitore.
