Tuesday 4 July 2017 at UniCredit Tower in Milan, UniCredit held a selection of the most innovative companies of 2017, where Vegea got the first prize of UniCredit Start Lab, a scaling program in the field of ‘Innovative Made in Italy’.


UniCredit Start Lab, now in Its 4th edition, is the Unicredit accelerator program supporting innovative SMEs in the fields of ‘Life Science’, ‘Clean Tech’, ‘Digital’ and ‘Innovative Made in Italy’, through dedicated actions and initiatives such as a money grants, mentoring and networking activities, tailor made training and bank services.


The initiative selected among 800 applications and over 3400 business plans received by UniCredit from February 2014.

The members of the ‘Innovative Made in Italy’ expert panel were important players of the field: Sonia Bonfiglioli – President of Bonfiglioli Riduttori, Massimo Dell’Acqua – CEO Trussardi, Raffaele De Nigris – CEO Acetificio Marcello De Nigris, Laura Rocchitelli – President of  Gruppo Rold, Roberto Zanoni – General Manager of EcorNaturaSì.


Thanks to this award, Vegea, a company running Its activities in the field of recovery and valorization of agroindustry biomasses, got the chance to attend the UniCredit Start Lab Academy, an intense week of adavanced managment training supported by over 30 UniCredit national and international partners such as Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Google, Cisco, Electrolux and Bla Bla Car and consolidated start ups such as ScuolaZoo, Genenta, Brandon Ferrari and D-Orbit.
