In collaboration with industry leaders we carry out research and development activities on vegetable and renewable biopolymers with the aim to offer an alternative to traditional fossil oil-derived polymers.

The different types of synthesizable polymers have a wide range of properties and are divided into thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers. The first have a lowering of viscosity on heating, the second ones are transformed into rigid materials under appropriate temperature conditions.

The different types of polymers we can achieve allow us to the develop several products differing by properties, ranging from technical coated fabrics all the way down to applications where great rigidity is required, as in the case of studs, buttons, glasses frames and accessories.
