VEGEA PRESENTS THE FIRST VEGEATEXTILE FASHION PROTOTYPES IN MILAN, SUPPORTED BY H&M FOUNDATION

On 5 October 2017, at the prestigious location of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vineyards – Casa degli Atellani – Milan, Vegea presented Its biobased technical textiles obtained  from wine industry biomass.

The event, sponsored by Milan’s City Hall, had the aim to show the great potential and versatility of the biobased material, which has been proven to be suitable for fashion, furniture, automotive and packaging applications.

 

Supported by H&M Foundation and in collaboration with ecodesigner Tiziano Guardini, winner of the last Green Carpet Competition held during Milan Fashion Week (from 20 to 25 September), Vegea developed the first prototypes for dresses, handbags and shoes. Many worldwide brands, investors and media attended the event, this proving how the apparel Industry in particular, is interested in the development of ecosustainable materials and is willing to use solutions like Vegea for Its collections, in alternative to the traditional materials that are currently used.
