VEGEA PRESENTS FURNITURE PROTOTYPES WITHIN THE NESPRESSO LOUNGE VIP AREA AT VINITALY

From 9 to 12 April 2017, the Italian wine region of Verona hosted the 51st edition of Vinitaly, the international wine exposition.

One of the main issues covered during the fair, was that of sustainability within the wine Industry. The debates showed that wine Industry is much more than to be considered an Italian excellence: It is important give new life to winemaking leftovers (grape marc) through the development of high value added products.

Vegea, a company running Its activities in the field of the valorisation of agroindustry biomass, developed and patented a technology that is able to transform a winemaking byproduct into a biopolymer for biobased technical textiles.

Vinitaly also hosted the first Vegea prototypes for furniture: sofas and seats decorated the old town of Verona and the Nespresso lounge-vip area situated within the fair.

Gianpiero Tessitore, Owner of Vegea, was there declaring:” Interconnections between different sectors is crucial If you want to collaborate and create synergies with others sharing your same vision. This is one of the strengths of Vegea circular economy model. Vegea’s participation to Vinitaly is a concrete demonstration of that”.
